Rental Agreement

This website is operated by Wear My Wardrobe. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Wear My Wardrobe. Wear My Wardrobe offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

Please carefully read through the rental agreement prior to using our website or placing and order with us. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. 

By placing an order/renting an item you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions (the “agreement”) are a legal agreement between you and Wear My Wardrobe. This agreement contains all the terms and conditions governing the rental of items from Wear My Wardrobe via our website.

At all times all items remain legal property or Wear My Wardrobe and you agree and acknowledge you are renting for a limited time. 

Once rented, you are responsible for taking care of the item. You agree to treat each rental piece/item with care and respect. You will be held responsible for any loss, destruction or irreparable damage to the product beyond any regular wear and tear (slight fraying, small stains). Any damages beyond normal wear to the garment will incur fees determined by Wear My Wardrobe, varying based on severity, material, and garment type. Repair costs are established by Wear My Wardrobe, in collaboration with our tailors, and may be subject to adjustment.

In instances where the returned garment exceeds normal wear and tear and is not salvageable to a standard where the item can still be rented you authorize Wear My Wardrobe to charge your credit card for 100% of the product's original purchase value. This encompasses damages occurring during try-on appointments and take-home trials. The product's recommended retail price (RRP) is specified in its description. Damaged garments must be returned to us for assessment.

Wear My Wardrobe reserves the right to determine whether damages exceed the regular wear and tear allowance. A damage waiver can be added to your order for $5 to cover you for any minor damage occurred during wear, this will not exclude if the item is damaged beyond repair.

If you change your mind on which item you would like to rent after placing your order please get in touch with us asap so we can alter the booking, if your order has already shipped we cannot make any changes. You will be charged the difference if the new item is more expensive, if the new item is less expensive you will not be refunded the difference.

If your event is cancelled due to Covid 19, we will offer a full store credit to the value of your rental that does not expire. Please note this only applies if we are notified via email ( of the cancellation at least 3 days prior to your booking start date.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ITEMS TO THE DRY CLEANER OR TRY TO CLEAN THEM YOURSELF!! We handle the dry cleaning and it's included in the cost of the rental, so simply return the item to us when you're finished with it. If item is damaged due to washing, you will be liable and you will be charged full retail value of the product. (rrp values located in product description of each product)

Any items hired without a prior try on are at your own risk should they not fit or you change your mind no refunds will be given. We try our best to supply accurate descriptions of the items and measurements however these are intended as a guide only.

If you fail to return an item within 20 working days or return it in an unusable condition you hereby authorize Wear My Wardrobe to charge your credit card a charge of 100% of the retail value of the item hired from our website (rrp values located in product description of each product). The charge of 100% of the retail value represents the loss for the value of the item and cost to replace. 

All items must be returned to the post office the first business day following your rental date, they need to be handed into the counter before 4pm in the return post bag supplied with your rental. Please DO NOT place returns in a street postal box as these can go up to 5 days without being cleared and you will be responsible for late fees, late fees are the full rental price for each week this is not returned until you reach 20 working days in which you will be charged the full RRP of the dress. If you post an item back via regular post (not in our prepaid return bag) you are liable for any items stolen or lost.

If you lose the return packaging provided to you (the prepaid return bag), you are solely responsible for the return of the items at your own cost by the expected return date and upon arranging alternative return of the goods you shall provide Wear My Wardrobe with a tracking number. This MUST be put with overnight tracking not just tracked, you must ensure there is a yellow overnight courier sticker added by the checkout teller. Normal tracked parcels may arrive 3-5 days late and therefore you will be liable for late fees.

For local rentals, if you selected ‘pick up’ as your shipping option, you wI’ll be supplied a return prepaid postbag with your order to return your order to us, we currently do not offer a drop off option. For more information on our delivery options please click here.

Wear My Wardrobe is not responsible for tracking your item, please use the tracking link you receive in your confirmation email, this will be sent to you when your item has been collected from us.

We recommend creating an order well in advance of your rental date to ensure availability. Ensuring you book the date as the date you wish to receive your item. If you book within 3 business days of your event, please note this is at your own risk as you haven’t allowed enough time to include possible courier delays. If you are booking after -- Thursday for the weekend, you must select Saturday delivery at checkout.

Saturday delivery is at your own risk and we cannot guarantee this will arrive in time. Refunds are not eligible when Saturday delivery is selected. If you are going away and have booked the item to arrive with you before you go away please let us know prior. Any refunds processed will be minus the transaction fee for payments made via Paypal.

If your item does not arrive in time for your event you have booked for you may qualify for a refund minus the shipping fee please view our refund policy here. When you book please select the date of your event, this will automatically block out the 3 days prior and 3 days following your event to allow enough time for postage and cleaning. 

Wear My Wardrobe reserves the right to take all steps necessary to collect any outstanding invoices or payments from you, including but not limited to legal action and/or using third party collection agencies. In instances that we need to collect debt via a third party agency, this will be at your own expense and the commission amount will be added to your invoice.

Upon placing your order Wear My Wardrobe agrees to deliver the exact item ordered on the date selected on the booking. Should you receive an item which does not meet your specified order you agree to contact Wear My Wardrobe within 24 hours of the date on which you received the products via email or telephone and return the product in the return packaging provided in the order. We will then issue you a credit for the full rental fee and make all reasonable efforts to find a suitable replacement for the goods. Wear My Wardrobe take no liability should the goods not fit the customer due to an error in ordering the wrong size.

Please note that as this is a rental item it may have subtle signs of a bit of love and wear. As it’s not often a brand new unworn piece as you would find in a retail store, please consider there may be the odd little pill or little mark. 

However we do our best to ensure all items are still presented in beautiful and wearable condition. All garments delivered have been professionally cleaned and are provided to the customer in a ready to wear state. We inspect each item before delivery with the utmost care, and should you receive goods that are in a damaged state, please contact Wear My Wardrobe within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.
